Our commitment to safe working on every site, every time.
Working with asbestos-containing materials requires strict adherence to current health and safety legislation. Every member of our installation team receives comprehensive training covering the safe removal, packaging, and disposal of asbestos cement materials.
We don't cut corners. Our procedures have been developed over more than 30 years and are updated regularly to reflect current guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and SEPA.
Important: Never attempt to disturb or remove asbestos-containing roof sheets yourself. Always use a trained, certified professional.
These are the standard procedures followed on every asbestos removal job — without exception.
Before work begins, we cordon off a minimum 5-metre perimeter around the work area using warning tape and A-board signs to alert anyone approaching.
Every operative wears a respiratory mask rated for asbestos fibres, full-body protective clothing, and appropriate footwear — throughout the entire removal process.
All removed asbestos sheets are carefully wrapped in the required polythene sheeting and fully sealed before being moved from the site — no loose sheets ever leave unsecured.
After the roof is reinstated, any residual asbestos traces on the site are removed using an H-type (HEPA) vacuum — the only type approved for asbestos decontamination.
All asbestos waste is transported to and disposed of at a SEPA-licensed facility. We provide you with full disposal documentation as required under Scottish environmental law.
Risk assessments and method statements are prepared for every job — essential for commercial sites, housing associations, and any managed property.
We are the UK's only CSCS & CITB certified concrete garage manufacturer with fully qualified and insured staff. Our asbestos awareness certifications are renewed regularly — not left to expire.
When you hire us, you can be confident that every person on your site has the training and certification to be there.
If you have any questions about our health and safety procedures, certifications, or how we'd handle your specific site, we're happy to discuss in detail before any work begins.
We can also provide copies of our certifications, method statements, and risk assessments on request — at no charge.
