Asbestos Removal

Safe, certified and SEPA-approved asbestos removal from garages throughout Scotland.

What You Need to Know

Is Your Garage Roof Asbestos Cement?

Garages built between 1950 and 1980 very commonly used asbestos cement roofing sheets. Asbestos cement typically contains between 10–15% asbestos by content — the remainder being ordinary cement.

When in good, undisturbed condition, asbestos cement poses minimal risk. The danger increases when the material begins to deteriorate or is disturbed during repairs, because fine asbestos fibres can then become airborne.

Never attempt to remove or repair asbestos roofing sheets yourself. Disturbing the material without proper protective equipment and training is extremely hazardous.

If your roof is in poor condition, crumbling, or needs to be removed for any reason, our certified team will handle the entire process safely and legally.

Our Process

How We Remove Asbestos Safely

Our certified team follows a strict, documented process on every removal job — protecting you, your neighbours, and the environment.

1

Site Survey

A trained surveyor visits your property within 7 days to assess the asbestos-containing material and produce a written quote.

2

Site Secured

On the day of removal we erect a 5-metre perimeter using warning tape and A-board signs to keep bystanders safe.

3

Safe Removal

Our team, in full PPE including respiratory masks and protective clothing, carefully removes the sheets without breaking or disturbing them.

4

Secure Wrapping

All removed sheets are carefully wrapped in the required polythene sheeting and securely sealed before leaving the site.

5

Site Clean

Any small asbestos traces remaining are cleaned using an H-type vacuum — the only type approved for asbestos use.

6

Legal Disposal

Waste is transported and disposed of at a SEPA-licensed facility. You receive full documentation of disposal as required by law.
